Reuben Zacharakis-Jutz

Co-Owner & Head Contractor

After growing up on an organic family farm in Iowa, Reuben began his career by doing trim carpentry and working in a cabinet shop. He later transitioned to remodeling and building houses for the same high-end construction company. Following the completion of his MBA from the University of Iowa, he spent the next 15 years constructing and managing manufacturing facilities across the country, primarily focusing on the green tech and food tech industries. With a desire to start his own company and allocate more time to his family and the outdoors, Reuben founded ZJBUILT. The company's core values of family, quality, and lasting craftsmanship are intended to be passed down for generations. Combined with the use of green building techniques, this contributes to a positive environmental impact.

George Zacharakis-Jutz

Co-Owner & Project Manager

Originally from Iowa, George developed a foundational interest in design and fabrication through his experience working on a family farm. This early exposure to hands-on problem-solving led him to pursue a degree in Engineering, followed by a 12-year career in the technology sector.

During his tenure in the tech industry, George specialized in CAD design before transitioning into Project and Product Management, skills he now applies to the cabinetry business.

George oversees the technical integration of design and production. He combines his background in 3D modeling with a process-oriented approach to equipment optimization. He is driven by a love for creating function in beauty and the opportunity to build a family business alongside his brother, Reuben.
